Previous Updates

Mozilla 1.4 Status

In a newsgroup posting, Asa Dotzler confirmed that there will be a Mozilla 1.4 Release Candidate 2. Over 50 fixes have been taken on the branch since 1.4 RC 1 was released.

Mozilla Thunderbird

New Mozilla Thunderbird builds that support installing and switching themes are now available. Read Scott MacGregor's post to the MozillaZine Forums for more information.

Mozilla Calendar

The first build of Mozilla Calendar in almost a month is now available for Windows and Linux. It includes some new calendar coloring features and the beginnings of timezone support, both developed by students at the College of Charleston in South Carolina.

ChatZilla

ChatZilla 0.8.32 has been released with support for logging (bug 80125).

Mozilla Composer

Daniel Glazman has begun working on a standalone version of Mozilla Composer.

Mozilla 1.4 Branch Builds for Linux Compiled with GCC 3.2.3

Some new 1.4 branch builds for Linux compiled with GCC 3.2.3 are available for testing. The existing Linux builds are compiled with GCC 2.95.3 and mozilla.org wants testers to ensure that the change of compiler version does not cause any unexpected problems.

Classic Mac OS (CFM) Build Files

The last remaining Classic Mac OS (CFM) build files have been removed from the tree.

URLs and Tabs

Incomplete URLs are no longer lost when switching tabs (bug 104478) and a link opened in a new tab will now not cause the Location Bar to default to about:blank if the URL fails to load (bug 103720).

mozdev Pledge Drive

The popular mozdev free project-hosting site is requesting donations to fund ongoing hosting costs and pay for the purchase of a new server. Their target is to raise US$2,500 by the end of Summer.

Tree Status

The trunk is currently open (but check tinderbox for the latest status). Checkins to the 1.4 branch require approval from drivers@mozilla.org.
